Re: Cant ping specific IPs over VPN
hmm, I'm not sure, I don't think so, they were both provided by another vendor for the new system. The one is an internal little FTP server and the other is a Cisco Router (I forget the model now, its an ADSL VPN router jobbie)
You think that'll make a difference?

Re: Server 2008 BSOD on logon
No go on last known good configuration. Busy uninstalling patches as I go. Unfortunately they all ran on one go so there's like 30 updates from sunday. I do notice though that one update (KB950050 - Update for Hyper-V) doesn't have an uninstall button where all the rest do. THink it might be related?

Far as I know with Hamachi its only the initial login to their mediation servers that goes through them. Once you logged in you directly connected to the other people in your groups. Just don't like Hamachi because it tends to be a bit slow at times for some applications. Plus it's somewhat limited ...

You can have the router connected and still dial your own connection from your PC. It's called half bridge, I know virtually all the Billions can do it. If you dial up your own connection on your PC then you use that account, you don't touch the account the Router is using. Just set up the family ac...

Yeah I did change it from auto but it has instead of the divider it has speeds( 100mhz, 133mhz and so on) then it like changes, at 250FSB it at 183mhz as an example it uses CPU/12 but at 270 it uses CPU/11 (working on what CPUZ says). Running on 250 FSB on the dot. Guess I just need to brush up on a...

What about something like Dameware mini remote control or Radmin? Both can be made so you don't need permission to connect or give any indication that you're connected ( except the system tray icon changing colour if you're particularly eagle eyed) you just join on a view session and screen shot as ...

Weird memory clocks
Hi there all, I realise the subject is a bit weird but I could think of anything else. I got an Asus A8N32-sli mobo with a AMD athlon 4200+ X2 (socket 939) with 2 gigs of Hynix memory. I started OC'ing the other day and I got the CPU running at 2.64Ghz stable (240mhz HT bus with 11x multiplier) when...

I know my old mobo was the same. Your green slot is Channel A and the orange Channel B so to get dual channel its one slot in green and other chip in orange. I had the K8n Neo2 platinum, you fill the ram banks in the order you see to get dual channel. The MSI boards are finnicky when it comes to you...

Well I've got the CM690 and I'm extremely happy with it, cable management was easy as you can get with the only issue being if you have an ide port that faces to the side of the board instead of the normal straight up you need to remove one of the holders for your cables and a bit more planning. I g...

I had the same thing with my current pc. When I got my new mobo it wouldn't start everything comes on for half a seconds and dies. Unplugged the PSU cable, let the board discharge, plug it in again and the machine starts. Oddly enough I threw in another graphics card for SLi and its never done it to...
