yes i rate VERY limited! i was just gonna take this car standard, but after the RX7 it felt like i was riding a donkey drawn carrage, hence the mods :D , but just take the specs that are RIGHT there, no more no less.......

OH! Btw, are we allowed to put wings on our non-modded cars?? maybe thats why good 'ole pheonix was beating my bottom in :P  :P

if thats not the reason then .......

Eeek, I had a squeeze at some GT4 today on a mates machine and I am loving it.

From what I have tried the Audi RS6 pretty much owns (M5, DB9, et al) :) I manages to get a 52 sec lap time on one of the Suzuka tracks, the one thats not too curvey :)

I do hope this thread doesn't die! im getting gran turismo 4 soon. listen to my sad story:

Ok, this happened today. my dad went to south africa on a business trip, and one day when he called, i realized that i should ask him to buy me a copy of gt4 in SA, cuz they dont have *any* real ps2 games here. anyway, he tells me he'll look out for it. Today he return, and i was ecstatic to see a copy of that much-anticipated game. one ive been waiting for since 2 years ago. i was thrilled. 5 or so minutes later i thought id try it out, seeing how eager i was. so i opened the case, only to find no bloody cd inside. my heart was crushed. We speculate that it was the airport personnel who took it, seeing as my dad told me that it was sealed in a plastic sleeves (as most brand new ps2 games are). anways, ill get my copy this wed when friends are arriving, but it sucks monkeyballs to have to pay R1000 for it. i say nuke JHB international.

my story just gets sadder. here's why:

Exhibit A - my first original GT4 bought. arrives here with no cd inside:

Image

As luck would have it tho, we were having friends visit, and they managed to buy me the game. they arrived here, and i played it for around 4 hours R1000 later.

Exibit B

but it seems i'm not meant to own this game, because after the previously mentioned 4 hours of enjoyment, my sister drops her &$#%*#$#& basketball SPOT on the tray area while the game was loaded, and i was playing it. screen freeze. no worries i thought, ill just reset it. only to open the tray and find to my horror a massive scratch at the bottom of the cd.

Exibit C

Image

i assume this ones the worst since its really close to the center, the bigger one is right above it, as you can see:

everytime when i load the game it makes 2 clicks, and then fails to load. before i bought a cd cleaner, it didnt read the disk at all. i went out a nd bought a relatively cheap cd player. it didnt take the scratces away, but i did get the game to be read by the ps2, but it freezes way before the menu. at the part where they say "drive safely, this game shouldnt be used for that and that, and cars may not be in real life how they are represented in the game" that comes up right after the Playstation 2 logo pops up. then it freezes there or i get a black screen.

do any of you know of a way that i can perhaps fix this thing totally, or is it completely screwed over? im thinking of using brasso? anyway, thats my sad story for you.

Well, how much more can u mess things up? So give it a try...its always worked 4 me. And no...it wont eat through. All u do is polish that baby up and wipe all the excess off.
