I Found a lot of problems opening my gmail account the first time with IE. A buddy told me to get Firefox and that solved my problem. Give that a try.

As far as I know, GMail doesn't use ActiveX, it uses javascript. So changin ActiveX controls shouldn't change anything. Missing jre updates might tho
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

DJT.. can't answer your question, just wanna say with Firefox i dont have that problem...
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Just to add my 2cents worth. If ur not gonna use Firefox (DONT FLAME ME!), then it might just be that you need to install IE6 SP1. I know that IE5 gives enless trouble - indeed it doesn't work at all most of the time.

But just to make everyone else happy, use firefox.

I STILL think that you dont have some vital components installed. Do a FULL install of Internet Explorer 6 SP1 and see if it doesn't help

What can i do about this?

At least you get the error message - when I try send an exe file, all the recipient got was an empty email.
As said, gmail does not send .exe files. From what I recall, it would not send zip files either. I now rename any .exe files to .mp3 and it works fine...oddly enough.

My school system won't send zips (Dumb system) so I replace the .zip with .ace which it sends and at home i change it back to .zip. It works perfectly, try that
