in need of some help

i have an old acer 950 laptop, it has an infrared port and i have installed windows 95 on it as it is a very old laptop. i also got my hands on the win95 ir driver and it seems to work. on my desktop i am running xp pro and i also have a usb/ir adapter that works very well with my cell and seems to discover the laptop (laptop sees desktop too) everything seems fine... untill you try to send anything!!!!!!! here comes the rage... the laptop sees the cell and even shows the modelname but recieves or sends no files to or from it.
the onboard irport on the laptop seems to be com1.

someone must know how to send files (at least from xp to the laptop) in this manner.

I think the problem here was that you called the topic "in need of some help"

Most people simply overlook something like this. In future me more specific like "ACER 950 IR Driver problem" instead of "in need of some help"
