Is anyone else having issues with Direct X and new Geforce drivers? I just updated my geforce drivers and now CoD Black Ops keeps dieing mid game due to direct X having a siezure. Find the error message to post when i can. I am running a Geforce 9500GS.

Hey man,

Just a word from the wise, you'll get a much better response with a descriptive title, like, Direct X / Geforce Driver Issue. Maybe the problem is with Black Ops, you patched lately?

Well have you tried updating Direct X, and what happens if you roll back the Nvidia drivers?

rolling back sorts it out and direct x is fully updated before I had the issues.

So that means that the new Nvidia drivers are the problem. So dont use the new ones, wait for the next update and see if that helps

275.33 are the ones I just downloaded as nvidia classes them. device manager says I am using the driver version 8.17.12.5896. cannot remember what version nvidia said they were, they were downloaded around a year ago.

do not worry if it says you are using 8.17....... as that is the file version. I am using 266.58(about time I did an update) as those are the ones that my GTS450 came with.

I just got black ops, and randomly and for no apparent reason the game starts stuttering......now it is not a frame rate issue(I tested this) and does not seem to have anything to do with my CPU. But after putting different ram in my pc it seems to be fine, oh well a 4gb kit of DDR 2 is not that expensive.
