quick question

Post by Siemens »

Last week I've been getting good download speeds of 35kBps on average. Now I'm struggeling to get even 10kBps.

I'm guessing this is due to the fact that offices has opened once again and dragging the net?
I'm on a 384 line and mweb(shaped I think).

ADSL or Iburst? either way, sometimes they just have problems :) We on Iburst, and some days (even for like a week) the net will be incredibly slow for no real reason. My guess is its a case of "its just one of those things" if you know what I mean

ADSL 384 line. I've just upgraded to Win7 and did a google search. A lot of people is experiencing slow internet after upgrading.my average has now gone down to 4kBps :/ I'll just wait it out. Hopefully it will solve itself

Check your Win7 isn't doing updates in the background, might be hogging your connection

OKay somthing does seem a bit odd. When I download a file via orbit download manager I get full speed. It's just evrywhere else with little speed. Though aparantly last night I got an average of 25 all around which is good. So I'm just guessing it's the isp.

Perhaps install a network monitor to keep tabs on the usage?
