Behringer BCD3000 turntable Latency Issue

Hi all

I'm experiencing a strange latency issue with my BCD3000 Turntables. Product info with TraktorIII
I've recently upgraded from WinXP Pro - 32 (SP3) to Win7 Ultimate - 32. I've gotten the latest drivers, but there is a delay when keys are tapped on the tables, sometimes Traktor ignores the key totally, forcing me to tap it twice and obviously lose my cues etc...

Any help / Advice / Suggestions welcome

Does your BCD3000 have an onboard sound card or do you need to use an external sound card? A friend recently imported a Hercules e2 with which he needs to use an external USB sound card. He had the same problem and brought his system over for me to have a look. I changed a setting in device manager for the sound card (cant remember what it was - and this machine I am on runs Linux) - the setting had something to do with latency. Once I changed it, the delays were gone.

I run a Hercules RMX which has a built-in sound card and dont have such issues. Even my old Mk2 didnt have these issues. I suspect the problem lies when using an external sound card.

Alternatively - have you tried another piece of software? Perhaps download a demo of VDJ and see if you still have the same problem.

Hey AlphaA thanks for the reply.

The BCD does have O/B sound, although requires an additional external for recording purposes. I tried VDJ, but couldn't get my key_config to work. I'll tinker around with device properties and see what i can find. I briefly encountered this problem on WinXP Pro, but Asio4All fixed it... sadly Asio4All isn't too Win7 friendly and i've since found the BCD3000 ASio driver.

It's a puzzling problem with no clear fix, and its frustrating, i'm just losing interest very quickly

For the record, I've had no problems with ASIO4ALL on Windows 7 x64. Maybe you're using an out of date version?

You know, i never really checked for a newer version, maybe i should try that first
