Garmin recalls some Nuvi units

Post by Drakonis »

Fire! Fire, fire...
Garmin has issued a worldwide recall of some Nuvi GPS units; citing fire risks from batteries which may overheat. The recall encompasses 1.25 million units worldwide. So far ten cases of overheating batteries have been recorded but nobody has been injured and there has been no significant damage caused as a result

They are all old and mostly disused units, good for them to recall though!

my Grandmother's Nuvi 200w is one of those units being recalled. She bought it about 2 years ago.
What I type has nothing to do with the people that employ me.

So what's the special? "Buy a garmin and receive a fire-extinguisher for free"
