Hi folks
Anyone know how to DISABLE automatic volume control in MSN Messenger? each time I make or accept a video or audio call, the stupid thing slams the master volume all the way to the max, and for an added perk, disables the microphone boost. Very unpleasant to suddenly have you contact's voice load enough to rattle the windows! Each and everytime I finish I need to go and reset the master volume and ensure mic gain in checked...
If Skype can leave it alone, why can't I find anywhere to disable this "help" in MSN?

Did you try to under "Tools -> Audio and video Setup" use a "Custom" instead of "Default" setting?

Do people actually still use MSN? Is MSN still such a popular IM client?

Re: MSN messenger - automatic volume control
Thanks mate - it does...kinda. You can set the level you want, but it still overrides the current settings and sets it to what you set as default. I'd love it to leave them ALONE completely. Weird, using custom I see it sets the master volume at 100% and then modulates the "wave" output volume. Very odd, as every other volume control adjusts the master volume...WiK1d wrote:Did you try to under "Tools -> Audio and video Setup" use a "Custom" instead of "Default" setting?
Any idea what "disable" does? got noone to call currently to see. Perhaps that kills the overriding of the master control, which is what I'm looking for...
