This is new to me so how do I setup my tcp/ip v6?
The reason is UT3. I've unofficially confirmed that whenever my ip changes my cd-key needs to be re-entered and with windows being automatic this will happen every time unless I assign a specific value to it.
So can anyone tell me what to do here?

So much for removing it permanently... Or are you waiting to officially confirm it?StarBound wrote:I never had to on xp. Something interesting was mentioned though. If your pc changes with 1 IP it wants to re enter a key. Meaning if I am connected with and disconnected it wants me to enter a key. If this is true then I am removing this game permanently.

Have you updated UT to the latest version patch?

According to his second (out of three) thread dealing with this issue, he is running v. 2.1. That's the latest, yes?

Re: TCP IP v6
Epic games hasnt confirmed anything since last year august. I am not the only person with the problem but the people on the igames server said it is every time my ip changes that it resets the cd-key. I never had this problem in xp and I think its due to xp only having tcp/ip v4 and I have always set that manually.
So I take even with windows 7 tcp/ip v4 set I still need to set v6 so there can be no auto ip involved. If this works then I know it wont happen in the future and it should also solve CoD4 thats also nagging about system changes.
Besides 3 threads later I think I have almost simulated the frustration of the key reset. You can imagine 2 more just for pity sake.
*Edit*
IS there gonna be problems if I just remove tpc ip v6 and just stick with v4 or is that gonna cause trouble?

Re: TCP IP v6
Shouldn't cause any trouble.
