Re: CrossFire Questions ..
not to sure about the diffrent brands but it should work5. What happens when graphics cards with varying memory speeds and engine clocks are paired together?
A. In this scenario, overall performance will be adjusted to match the memory speeds and engine clocks of the lower clocked card. To obtain ideal performance, graphics cards should be paired correctly.

that should help with which card work with what

Re: CrossFire Questions ..
Hybrid Corssfire says yes in theory.
Soon Google will know everything...including how to divide by zero
Re: CrossFire Questions ..
It should work. The slower card will just bring the 4850 down to its speed.
Seeing that the prices are going to drop (all the 48xx cards) in the coming weeks, I would rather wait. You should be able to get the 4850 for the same price.
I want to test this over the weekend though, my bro is running a 4830, but think the buffer size might give problems. I'm running a 1GB and his is 512MB.
edit...
Mixing brands shouldn't matter either, for minimizing all possible issues though, it is advisable to run identical cards

they should all be the same unless they are an oc version but even if it was diffrent the faster one will end up at the same speed as the slow oneGreekking wrote:NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you CANNOT crossfire any card they MUST be the same and must be manufactured by the same company !!!!
