Howdy ppl,
Is it just me or is everyone having problems with After Effects? I have all the updates and the machine im working on is an Intel 8 core server box with a quadro fx550, 2gb of RAM and windows xp pro 32 bit. I know that whats recommended is 2gb per core on a 64bit OS....but.....crashes occur at random intervals: either when rendering from queue or simply working in a composition or applying an effect etc etc...
Adobe support seems to be quite useless, only responding to error reports months after crashes occurred, then asking when it happened on which project file....during which, at least 20 other reports had been sent to them form various project crashes.
My question is this....
Has anyone figured out the most 'stable' way of operating After Effects? Things like purging the memory every so often etc...
I found that purging the memory on the start up of AE before i even open a project helps sometimes with a render. Any info would help.
Thanks
