Government ready for open source?

Post by jee »

Government initiative to move towards open source as cost cutting features have sadly backfired with the recently launched Election 2009 launch :
Our server detected that you are using a browser or operating system (e.g. Netscape, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome etc.) which is currently incompatible with our website. The current website is only compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer V4 (and upward) on the Windows operating system.

The website is under construction in order to rectify this.

Same is true in order to access some Gov websites - you can only do it from E!
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Hey it's what you get for being lazy. surely the government can find one or two million rand lying around, some meant for ARVs or something, to enable other, much better, browsers to view the website?

Oh well.
