Apple wireless kbd and mouse in xp?

Post by cOokie_mOnster »

Hello! Long time no see...

Was just wondering if anyone has tried to install an apple wireless keyboard and mouse in xp ?

If so please can you help me out?
I've got a belkin wirless adapter, and an apple wireless mouse (product no. a1197) and a wireless keyboard (product no. a1016).

XP finds these devices in the bluetooth manager but when it tries to connect it fails and brings up an error message saying failed to connect, please attempt to pair the devices again.

Drivers?
Hardware not compatible?

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

System Requirements
A Bluetooth-enabled Macintosh computer
Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later
Existing keyboard and mouse for setup
That is the mouse. Not windows compatible.
Soon Google will know everything...including how to divide by zero :(

Minimum System Requirements
Mac computer with Bluetooth wireless technology
Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later
Keyboard software update
Existing keyboard and mouse for initial setup
Three AA batteries (included)
That is the KB. Both don't work on windows.
Sorry dude.

Ah damn!
It's so strange that windows recognise them though?

Thanks Ed

Maybe you can find the drivers on a boot camp cd?

I am sure there may be drivers out there for this...

I use a pen tablet which is USB, set it as a USB mouse, and bios reads it as if its a USB mouse, if I did not set the BIOS, it would only work in Windows... when the driver loads with bootup.

But the problem is it may not be recognised in bios, and only run in "windows" and not in safe mode either, so keep the USB/PS2 one nearby encase you need to use it when ever...
