Liquid Cooling

Post by Vampyre_2099 »

For the same price, which is better?

http://www.thermaltake.com./product/Lig ... -w0075.asp

or...

http://www.gigabyte.co.za/Products/Liqu ... alaxy%20II

I'm tempted to go for the Thermaltake one as they have a name in the cooling industry, Gigabyte is more board production.

*Hands out helmet and some shields to Vampyre*

Your going to need it...

ThermalFake is not the kind of brand you would want to buy. Not in cooling, not in Power Supplies...

Runs away...

Neither. You're better off cooling your CPU with a cup of boiling water.

If you want to start using watercooling, you're gonna have to be willing to spend some cash.

The only kit you can get locally that's actually worth your cash is the Swiftech Apex Ultra kit.

What are you laughing at? They DO have a name in the cooling industry. Not a GOOD name, to be sure, but a name nonetheless. (In fact, I can think of a few names for Thermaltake, but I won't share them here.)

Ok, I'm sorry that I'm not up to scratch on liquid cooling as I have been running air cooling all my life (or the last 8 years or so anyway). With fans, thermaltake is an ok brand, no the best but certainly not the worst

I dont get what all this fuss is about? Out of all the posts only DAE JA VOO and slasher has really said anything constructive.

Vampyre, try www.ocforums.com im sure youll be able to get an answer there or atleast the people will say why they dont like the brands rather than going on like a bunch of girls.

You should learn This function and the term, lurking.

Don't you EVER wonder why some people don't ask idiotic questions?

if we had to do that then there'd only be about 3 topics posted a day, which equals just over 1000 topics a year. whats the point in having a forum if you don't use it? plus if I search, must i search for "best fan brand"?

What the?

Sure, we are here to help people, but if you can not even do the basic background check via google...

How do you think we get information to help members? We GOOGLE and read and learn...

If everyone stops using the net and just posts on forums, no knowledge base will be used, thus making people more STUPID.

I agree we need to help people, but posting the same thread every 2nd day because a person is too lazy to do the work does not mean we have to do the work FOR them every time...

Also, 3 topics a day can be expanded on. Why create 50 when you can just continue posting in ONE that already has some information in it...

DE, grow up. I won't help him because he is continuously asking stupid questions and I am literally starting to think its someone playing a really lame joke.

Vampyre, no. We would still have threads, but we wouldn't have the same ones once a week.

AND I LINKED TO THE SEARCH FUNCTION ON THIS FORUM.

Yes, well, exactly. His question was answered within the first two posts. So let the rest of us have some fun. The fact of the matter is that Thermaltake is useless at pretty much anything they churn out, and Gigabyte don't exactly specialise in water cooling. But DAE summarised that in one word: "Neither." If he wants alternatives, let him ask, and he will get some answers from those in the know. Simple as that.

Edit: And I think I've lost count how many times someone has asked about Thermaltake versus that precise Gigabyte kit.
