Getting gif files to show correctly on the net

Hi. I made some gif pictures for the net but they are looking slightly rough and not smooth at all like they appeared in my photoshop 7. How do I save them to appear just like the photoshop image?

How are you exporting them? Are you using save for web or just saving the image as a gif?

I found the mistake. I made it in 300dpi instead of 72dpi and now it is showing fine except now I saved them as png for flash.
