We were all waiting for you to figure out that Builder's Warehouse stocks such things. To be honest, you took a little longer than we expected. :D

It wasn't really the most financially viable option. They used to be quite expensive.

When I checked about 6 months ago an Original Dremel was just shy of R900, that's why I never recommended it :)

thanx DAE.
I thought it was like a little hand drill, but when I saw you guys saying that R400 is cheap I knew I was wrong.

Well, in all essence it is a hand drill. But it can do more than drill ;)

I would prefer a dremel to something I have to turn with my hand to get a hole drilled. It looks quite handy. Maybe I will fork out R400 and go buy me one

That Dremel shown above is indeed a fine unit, but R399?, I wish! I have that one at R1600.00 plus a Router and saw attachment. The whole kit has probably put me back by about three grand by now.

I use it for wood working.

BTW, I am told, still to be confirmed, that Bosch have bought Dremel, if this is the case we can kiss it goodbye.

I can confirm that Lancelot, Dremel is now wholly owned by the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation.

That is so true, the bits and pieces, routers, sanders, special bits, mandrels and so on cost a fortune. The router tool that I bought was like 1300 Rand! :(

Thanks Screeper for the confirmation, we will have to wait and see what Bosch does with it!
