My second hard drive has 16MB of unallocated space when checked in disk manager. What is this? How do i reallocate it.

You can't allocate it, it is reserved for the operating system. On NTFS, the size is 8Mb

Try Partition Magic, tho why you want to recover 16MB, I dunno, you cant do much with it

Yeah 16Mb aint much... maybe 3 mp3's or so worth of space... hehe.

yeah I must say 16MB aint worth fussing about...
BUT windows had set 5GB of my HDD space to system restore and I wondered why i had run out of space! Anyway I set it down to 1 gig and now yay 4 more gigs!

I remember my dads good old ?86 with 20MB hard drive. Damb we could get a lot on there, until the first 10MB game came out.....that was huge.

Oh, I am shamed, I have a 40GB Seagate (7200RPM obviously).
I want an 80 gb Maxtor next (8MB cache)

I use the 30gig 7200rpm ATA133 for the OS and the 120gig 7200rpm ATA133 8Mb for all the data like MP3's etc.
