Anyone Else ?

Post by v1c »

Just wondering if anyone else was having problems connecting to international sites. Weve got ADSL and passed the 3gig cap a couple days ago but have no problem with local sites only international. We havent been given any warnings by telkom like we normally get. Any ideas ?

once you pass the 3GB cap
you get put onto a slower network that seriously slows down your international browsing, but doesnt really affect your local connections

this is telkoms way of "evenly" sharing the available international bandwidth

this wouldnt be a problem except that the 3gb cap isnt only on international connections its on "total usage"

ah well hopefully telkom will introduce some bigger caps in the future

I heard that Orange was supposed to come to South Africa and that one of their features was if make a call to the same province as you're in, the call won't cost you a thing, what have you guys heard :?:  :D 8)
