7800GTX Rocks!

Post by Dakdriver »

Got my new PC today, at last!! What are these scores like? 24 653 in 2001, 17157 in 2003 and 8411 for 3d2005. I think the card is the best thing since sliced bread! Also got a 3500 AMD and 1.5 gigs of ram.

Got an Inno3d. Was a bit worried,'cause I havn't really heard too much about them, but everything seems in order, and the card performs well. Cost R4500 from Etsebeth Computer Consultants in CT.

Those are above average scores for a 7800 GTX. What are your clockspeeds running at? Mem and GPU, please?

Yes, they are powerful beasts, I have 3 of them, and will not easily update/replace them anytime soon.

Enjoy, it is a nice setup ;) Should last you a year or 3.

No, it was a joke, I meant you shouldn't get the same card as me (6800Ultra power...)

Thanx, that is very high scores for that card and clockspeeds. If it is doing this at stock, keep it, don't sell it, as even my 2 BFG's at 460/1300 only scores about the same.

Very nice specimen.

If you happen to have Rivatuner, go into setup and trned your GPU clocks - there should be 4, Memory, ROP, Shader and Geometric.

Tell me what they are if you run a benchie. They should be like 275 -bla-bla and 600 Memory, and then change to 470-430-430-600 when doing 3d Benching.

Just wanna check if the supplier of this is cheating on the Geometric clock by actually speeding it up to 500+ instead of 470.

Thanx again,
MrBean.

there seems to be a problem with some of the 7800gtx's

my friend got a Asus 7800gtx Top ect, on a 3200+ 1g ram
and he gets 6940 on 3DMark05 :?

He gave it back to the supplier and they gave him a new 1, and works like mine now :)

and BFG's dont realy have a bad history, so slap those suppliers around :)
