work has been hectic and when I do have time to play i don't have the energy.

I have been keeping my game up-to-date and I have noticed a significant drop in the number of patches being released. The game has been crashing far less but I have still found a few ground-based missions where it crashes. They are getting fewer in number.

Once I get my Federation character to Admiral I plan to start playing Klingon so that I have both factions covered before the release of the upcoming faction.

Not yet, tried it in the beginning a few times. It seems like co-operation does not exist in CE. As you do not need it to advance and the rewards is bad I bypassed it completely with my alt.

Finally hit RA today. I have an Imperial class Assualt Cruiser. I have three tetryon beam arrays MK IX both fore and aft. My forward torpedo launcher is a Chroniton Flux Torpedo launcher MK VIII and my aft launcher is a Photon Torpedo launcher MK IX.

I have two RCS Accelerator MK X to improve my turn rate by 60% total and two Tetyron Pulse Generators which combined add +60 to my Tetryon weapons.

I'm RA3, approaching 4 fast.

I'm worried about missions and running out of them. On top of that, I have no idea how and where to access those special content missions they've been raving about.

I'll give the demo a try soon. Too bad it is a bit expensive to do the whole thing though. I love Star Trek and this could be great. How well does it play on a 384kbps shaped account (MWeb uncapped)?

How is it expensive? Seems about average for an MMO. The monthly payments are slightly cheaper than WOW as well.

I have 384 uncapped with Mweb. It is ok. It had its moments though. I'm sure it's much better now with Seacom not going down as much anymore.

I haven't played for 2 months now. Maybe 3. I will one day soon though.

I'm sure by now they've ironed out most of the bugs in that game.

For a guy who is not used to paying month to month to play one game, it is expensive. Never played an MMO before.

I find the best way to look at an MMO is by looking at home much it costs to go see a movie and how many hours of enjoyment you get.

For the R130 you pay to an MMO you can see maybe three movies without popcorn and coke. Thats 6 hours of entertainment. You are likely to get 30+ hours of entertainment from an MMO in a month.

Yeah the patch just before or after season 2 had something wrong with it. Every time I patched and it works I copy the whole STO folder to my external HD. If something go wrong I just copy it back and patch again. It also helped when I bought my new pc and had to reinstall everything.

Don't know if it will help, but usually with big patches when I finished playing for the night I start the download and just leave it. It helps if you got something else to play but I do not play a game while I'm downloading. Also I heard from a friend since he went on an uncapped account that he got severe lag in WOW. He then went back to capped account. So I'm not trusting this uncapped thingy. He is on a landline and I'm on iburst with a desktop modem. (Telkom refuse to reinstall my landline as they keep stealing it). good luck

There was another small patch over the weekend. Only about 150 megs, actual download was about 60 megs. Didn't play too much only did new weekly on Sunday. I am downloading the new WOW patch (4.45gig) and it is interfering with my playing time.

I played this whole weekend. Spent a few hours spec'ing my ship. Dual Tetryon beams in the front with two tetryon beam arrays in the front and three at the back. All XI. Photon Torp. X at the front and a Tricobalt launcher X at the back.

In a single pass I can bring an enemies shields down and fire a torpedoe to damage its hull. Effective especially in pvp

Happiness is a mini-pet. STO got its first mini-pet and it is one of the best I have seen in a game. Hope there is more.

New weekly episode out. Judging from the previous series this one started with a bang. Great reward again too. If you have low lvl captains the rewards scale with your level. Hope Cryptic keep it up.

Cryptic didn't disappoint with new weekly series end. You get a TOS rifle and a TOS phaser. If your a klink you can choose a disruptor pistol. Last episode is also on the difficult side so if you solo it prepare to see yourself blow up alot.
