Please help! Vista x64 bluescreen!

Hi everyone! Please help if you can! Im running Vista x64 I have 4gig ddr2 800mhz Kingston hyper-x memory and a Asus 9800gtx Intel E8400 cpu with a zalman 750W psu on a Foxconn N68S7AA-8EKRS2H nForce 680i Motherboard and it keep on giving me a bluescreen! I have no idea what to do! THis is the error it gives me!

Do you have all the latest drivers for the nforce chipset and your gfx card.

From the Foxconn website. No chance of getting your PC connected to the Net to let Windows search for a solution?

Apparently some 64 bit vista versions have an issue with 4gigs of RAM.
Odd since that's what 64bit is supposed be able to use by default.
I still think Vista is a waste.

If you remove a gig or 2 it should help.

All I could fine really.

I have seen a 680i motherboard struggle with 4GB RAM in Vista. But then it wouldn't even boot into Windows; it would just blue screen at the splash screen. And that was back in early 2007, right after Vista was released.

Use the drop down menu to get your mobo's drivers. Make sure you get the correct chipset drivers.

Initially some nvidia nforce 680i mobo's struggled especially those with the reference design those from asus and dfi didn't really struggle cause they used their own designs. The problem was when installing vista you had to remove two sticks of ram then install vista and then apply the hotfix MS released shortly after launch. Else the vista setup would hang and eventually bluescreen. There is no such problem if your vista dvd has sp1 on it since it includes the hotfix.

Ok I will try and explain this in simple terms. Your problem has one of 4 solutions imho.

1. You get the latest drivers for your nforce 680i chipset from nvidia. Not foxcon site they are usually very lax in providing update drivers. You must know some friend who can help you download the latest drivers.

2. you need to get a copy of vista sp 1 and install it and see if that solves the problem.

3. You need to reformat and do a clean install or try a repair installation.

4. Your mobo doesn't want to play nice with your ram so there might be some compatibility issue which may be solved by a bios update.

Thanx alot! Will confirm later if it works! But thanx for the help!
