The N82 is a KILLER PHONE

Take my advice and go for it, make sure it is NOT Vodaphone live branded though, if it is...try take it to Nokia and have them flash it with generic Nokia firmware ;)

Take my advice - ignore what v siad...I dont really care :P

Ask Monty about it (The N82), he has one and is LOVING his ;) :D

If I had a choice: N82. People complain about having to do firmware updates but then they use XP :-/

I want the Symbion OS to load 3rd party java apps with. My D600 is not at all in anyway java friendly.

my only problem with the N82 is the small keypad, if you have big thumbs like me then texting with that pad will be a nightmare... :( I need something that can do what the N82 can do but has a bigger keypad...

Meh-I got used to a small keypad. Really you just become used to being careful.

I second that. After seeing yours (DAE) I'm definately getting one. I read the reviews on GSMArena, and I'm definately loving it.

Gonna get it soon as I'm due for an upgrade (which is in May '09) There'll probably be a new one out, which is even better :P

Another good touchscreen phone to consider is the LG Viewty, with the exception of Gps and Wifi, it has every other feature you could possibly want, and it wont break the bank, U should certainly have a look into this.

If the budget allows. N95 8GB....

personally every samsung ive ever used was crap. and after using my sony ericson p990 i will never be able to go back to a non-touch screen phone. The next phone i get will be the SE p1.
ive used the htc touch too, and i still prefer the p990. They say its such an old phone etc etc, and yes it is. but its much better than all the ***** they make today

You can also wait a while for the Sony Ericsson W760i, due for release any second now. Other than that I'd suggest the W890i. I'm due for an upgrade myself, but I'm waiting for that phone...

The only problem is GSM Arena had a not-so-good preview of it, and I'm beginning to wonder. They say that the phone has no auto focus, for example- on a 3.2mp camera... Would Sony really be stupid enough to do something like that?? (I would provide a linky, except I'm capped)

Bleh, either way, I suggest either the W890i or the W760i (due for release 2nd quarter 2008, which is now sometime).

Main disadvantages
  • No video-call camera
Camera has basic portrait interface and no autofocus
    Poor legibility under direct sunlight
Integrated stereo speakers are not impressive neither in sound qiality, nor in loudness
