I have the following:

AMD6000 X2
Asus M2N-SLi Deluxe
8800GTS 320
2Gig ram

I can't play on High(DX10) it lags to much when there is some shooting going on.
I was almost sure with this upgrade I would be able to play on high.

What do you think?

Dont play it on DX10, watch the FPS SOAR! Seriously, your not missing out on anything, if you want it to run better, play it DX9 mode, I do that and can run on High graphics.

I'm currently playing on 1280 x 1024, no lag at all (I think it's due to my 2GB of RAM, my FPS remains constant).

and I can average around 25 FPS in jungle areas, without an overclock, on an 8800GTS 640.

Remember, I don't just want to play Crysis at 1680 x 1050.

If you have Vista, Click Start, then Games, then right click Crysis and say "play DX9".

When the list of servers is displayed, click on the ping tab, so sort by ping time. SGS should be on top. Then add it to favourites, if you want to.

There are lots of reasons, ways to fix them are extremely pathetic, since they shouldnt have to be done.
CryTek is not the smartest of people when it came to error messages but ok I have had alot of connection problems and I found the fixes that work

first off

"Disconnected by Server"

This is normally caused by Punkbuster so make certain you enabled it , if you are still getting kicked as soon as you try join a server updated your PB to the latest version available.

"Disconnected by Server" as soon as you want to pick your kit

So do the following if you are kicked by Filewhitelist and using no cheats (what we normally expect).

1. Go into your Game folder
2. Check for the following files and folder:

Folder
Config
Levels
Localized
LowSpec

Files
Animations.pak
GameData.pak
Music.pak
Objects.pak
ShaderCache.pak
Shaders.pak
Sounds.pak
Textures.pak

3. If you have other files in your Game folder delete them or move them into the root folder.

"Disconnected by Server"

Some workarounds that might fix the issue:

1. Enable Punkbuster

To be able to join any Punkbuster protected server you would need to enable it manually ingame.

1. Please start Crysis.
2. Go to Options -> Game Settings.
3. Set a mark at "Punkbuster Protection".
4. Click on "Apply" and confirm the change.

2. Update Punk buster

To update Punkbuster please download the PBSetup.exe file from here. Execute the file and follow the instructions.

3. Do not use Crysis Beta Keys

Do not use the Crysis Beta Keys since they have been disabled. You still can login with this Key, but once you try to join a server the "Server Authentication Failed" error message pops up.

4. New InGame Account

1. To create a new ingame account please start Crysis.
2. Click on "Multiplayer" -> "Internet Game".
3. The login window pops up where you click on "New Account" and follow the instructions.
4. If you have an automated login please delete the "Crysis" folder in "..\My Documents\My Games\".
5. Afterwards you will be able to login manually to Multiplayer and thus create a new account.

5. Re-Enter the CD-Key

1. First of all please go to "..\My Documents\My Games\" and delete the whole "Crysis" folder.
2. On the Crysis DVD please open the folder "Tools" and double click on "Crysis_code.exe".
3. If you have the download version you can find the .exe file here: C:\ProgramData\Electronic
Arts\EADM\cache\{number}\crysis_seX\tools
4. In the case you do not find the file use the windows search tool. Make sure you search in hidden folders
as well and search for "Crysis_code.exe".
5. Re-Enter your CD-Key in capital letters and click "OK" afterwards.
6. If you launch the game now everything should work as intended.

6. Add CD-Key manually to Registry

1. Windows XP: Start -> Run
2. Windows Vista: Start -> All Programs -> Accessoires -> run
3. Type in "regedit" (without "") and press Enter
4. Windows 32-Bit: Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\Electronic
Arts\Crysis\ergc
5. Windows 64-Bit: Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic
Arts\Electronic Arts\Crysis\ergc
6. Check if your CD-Key is available as value in the right window. If not double-click on "(Default)" and type
in the key without "-" and in capital letters.

and if the ergc directory is not their , make one and add the CD key in.

Punk buster does not support 64-bit Windows

when you are trying to join a server and it kicks you because it does not support 64-bit , in your Crysis file you will find a bin32 in their you will find a Crysis.exe , open it from their

If you are lagging or experiencing low frame rates

if you have a Nvidia graphics card: go to www.nvidia.com and download the latest drivers ( beta 169.09 )

if you have ATi: go to the http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html and select your driver. Download 7.11 if you can

a thing I found was that if I turned the shadows on medium or low the frame rates went up alot so give it a try

Game starts in a Window and not full screen

press atl+enter to make it full screen again

capanno, your thoughts on the game? My older nephew (turning 13 in Jan) wants the game but his mother is VERY strict ( we wait until she goes shopping before we watch RiddicK and Blade :P)

the younger wants need for speed... but he is getting sims :)

unless i get them a decent graphics card...
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

The game doesnt have over whelming violence. Infact some of the least bloody shooters I've seen in a while. The language is mature. And the game is short if you have time to play it.

Last stage was very choppy. The game only has what? 12 stages. After you start going down the mountain the game goes fast. The game was worth it though. Now for the replay value test. Something I am having difficulty with Bioshock.

i just ran the crysis gpu benchmark on my friends PC and i was amazing by the results...

we just updated to the 169.25 beta drivers and on his machine:

amd 6000+
2GB DDR2 800
Asus 8800GT 512 Mb
Vista Ulti.

he got an average of 15FPS with everything set to very high at 1680*1050 .... is it just me or are the drivers starting to leak performace gains for this game...
