But that Alky Project thing isn't the real DX10, is it? I want just the DX10 installer, not some other weird dll files that needs built through c++

dx10 is not meant for XP hence the reason why Alky started up. You will not find a stand alone installer for dx10 for winxp. Alky is really our only glimmer of hope, unless MS decide to drop vista and rework dx10 for xp, and I dont see that happening...

btw should this not be under either MS Windows or maybe software? Why is it under anime? :? :? :?

It can't really be done.

There are some l33t hax out there which put up a good effort, but you'll want Windows Vista if you want an easy ride to the real thing.

Here ss the answer to your question: don't waste your time with DX10 until it increases performance, because if it doesn't increase performance, its architecture is just as useless.

To run high end DX 9c graphics, you need a high end card. To run high end graphics on DX 10, the same goes.

If you have a GPU that powerful, you dont need DX10 to help run games...
