Telkom modem questions?

well since i have a question now i tho i would start a thread where ppl can get them answered?

my modem in the settings page has a field called "Tx PowerLevel" what is this for? my wireless network range is very poor and if i close my door and my dad in his room, which is just like 5m away, den he can't get a connection so den i must leave my door open. wud there b a way to increse the range? i was thinkin mayb this Tx PowerLevel thing wud increase it but don't wanna mess unless i sure.

What modem are you using? Is there not an "automatic" setting?

i using the telkom mega 200vwr modem.

not sure bout a auto setting?
