how the hell you going to play crysis with a fig???fibre-optics wrote:yip i ordered mine but i dono if my fig can handle this game
i think you might have a problem with your rig, in the sense your gpu might struggle, even in DX9, but hey, you never know until you try...
besides, a little birdie whispered in my ear that the final release of the game will be much better than the demo, so hang in there...

When i had my xfx 7600gt i was annoyed with my "lag" in titan quest...man was i annoyed , i reckon ud be able to place crysis on medium to low gfx..psYChowIt wrote:7600 will be fine... Hopefully
id suggest either to play crysis on high or dont play it at all hehehe, cause then u may as well play farcry.
For fun i turned my gfx down to an absolute minimum, it looked like doom 1... rofl seriously like doom1 but with the 3D element.

Some people play the game for the gameplay, NOT the graphics...
Graphics are not the be-all that you people are making it out to be. If the only thing Crysis has over Far Cry is graphics, I will not be wasting my time... The game has started to look a bit promising, but I will obviously play the demo on this game before even looking towards the shops...
Graphics is just another element. Give me Space Quest 1 and I am kept busy for a few hours... every year...

Serious. Medium all the way. Hi is just too much for my gfx card. But I cant see a GTX doing much better on high.
Medium detail looks fine. Atleast it looks better tha farcry's max and to say the truth better than even bioshocks max. But its just a shame I cant play it the way its meant to be.
Side note: Why cant I skip the EA logo?

i have 2 games only which exhibit this behaviour... given the size of my collection this is hardly the "usual" behaviour... it's the marketing department's version of ego stroking... forcing the end user to be subjected to the same visuals every time they start the game...psYChowIt wrote:You usually can't skip demo's intro vids and stuff

You can in some games. For instance in BF 2142, in order to get around that annoying intro you merely rename the relevant movies, and the game then just starts up and goes directly to the login screen. When a game has been out for a little bit, I assume someone will find a way to get around that intro.psYChowIt wrote:You usually can't skip demo's intro vids and stuff
