I read the instructions again. Apparently it takes 200 hours for the particles to settle in the gaps. But you cant just leave your system on for 200 hours straight, it needs to cool down to room temp every now and then to be effective.
I just re applied my paste and now im running about 4 degrees lower. Comes to show you shouldnt apply too much of the stuff:P

yea the trick is to run your PC as you normally would. but i also find letting the cpu run around 55-65'C does WONDERS for "setteling" the molucles in the paste. your can do this by dissconecting or lowering your fans RPM.
on my last heatsink, i reseated about 5 or 6 times and i managed to drop temps as much as 10'C
