USB 2.0

Post by bigm »

Does anyone know if a USB2.0 PCI card can handle the fast bandwidth of USB2.0?

I had one on my old PC, it used to suck CPU power though... but not visible through Task Manager... it was weird. But it is much faster than USB 1! Probably full speed 2.0.

It wouldn't be called a USB 2.0 card if it can't handle USB 2.0.

(I know that this is a revival.)
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.

Prize for longest necro.

PCI = 133MB/s ~ 1Gbps
USB2 = 480Mbps

But that PCI bandwidth is shared with everything on the PCI bus.
