Not surprised to hear of a dual steup in the future, slick. Considering 97% of people use PCs', there are many more compatibility and unity related issues to consider and work with in PC hardware tech development, so it's not really fair to say the PC world is slow and behind the game. Course I'd still give my left arm for an upcoming G5 based Powerbook. My Apple ipod is the first step, haha!
So it was originally an IBM RISC processor, then Apple got pulled in because IBM needed an OS partner - and Motorola was pulled in by Apple because they didn't fully trust IBM, therefore forming the AIM group. Wheels within wheels - interesting.
