I have bit defender antivirus plus v10 on my PC at home and for the last couple of months we've lost our internet connection because of the fools at telkom and it doesn't seem as if they in a hurry to fix the problem. Bit defender use to update itself automatically but now I have to do that manually I download a update every other day but it always says its out of date, Can anybody tell me why it does that?

we use bit defender on all our machines here at work, updates every hour, as opposed to N.A.V every 2nd day or so!
Never had any hassles with it!

this may be why... intermittent updates will always be out of date.MongwopMan wrote:updates every hour
as to how great it is... comparison tests are available... (NOD32 still leads the pack, although AntiVir and NOD tend to run neck and neck... )
as for firewalls.... you would be hard pressed to top Outpost's performance. rock solid, all the way.

norton/mcafee currently knock avg into a cocked hat... not for much longer, perhaps, but AVG has some ways to go.
i enjoy seeing how badly trend does, given the number of 'netadmin' types who swear by it... got to love disinformation. without it, most politicians would be picking apples... ok, apple picking actually takes a certain amount of skill, so probably not...
