Axxess DSL Service Provider

Post by Slasher »

Hi guys,

I am considering getting myself one of the prepaid accounts with these guys where I have 12 months to use the cap, and just get myself a 1 gig unshaped account for gaming. Or even just the local 1 gig unshaped one if the international speed is not as good as I need...

Are there any of you with an Axxess account? Please let me know, I want to ask you a favor in terms of pinging one or two international ip's, as I want to game on some international servers. Heck, even just the overall speed and stability locally...

Thanks!

Do you play online gaming?

How many downtime do you experience?

Are you completely hardcapped on reaching your cap?

I play BF2142 and LOTR: BFME2 mostly

Always play International servers and have only once experienced a 2min downtime.

I think the cap works like this: Say you only have one meg remaining, and you download something say 5 megs, it wont kick you off. if you disconnect and try to reconnect I don't think you will be able to because your cap is reached.

They also SMS you to tell you how much CAP you have left

I will have to check that international ping next time i go play. I do play locally sometimes, but i play international more often.
I think axxess runs fibre optic cables. Have you checked their website out?

Woot. I've been sitting with no cap, now I see this axxess now service.

Already seems a little quicker than my standard ISP, and way cheaper.

Hey guys...

Can any of you quickly help me with the domain part of the axxess account?

I have an account, but think I have the @axxessafrica.co.za part wrong. Is this correct the way I entered it?

That's right. I signed up for a pre-paid account to try it out. Very impressed so far.
