Got mine for R3k :) And a boss (Roland) stomp box :D

Dude, have you seen the Corts. Do yourself a favour and check them out. You will be amazed.

Btw, the 60watt is pretty loud. I would say even the little cubes will do.

you wanna hear the best sounding little amp posisbly in the world....

look no further than the Epiphone Valve Junior - just remember that Epiphone amps are not like epiphone guitars (which i own and enjoy) they are a fully fledged product as opposed to a licencsed Gibson remake.

5 watts - ALL VALVE!
1 volume
1 Speaker
1 input

dont be fooled by the 5 watts... it will put a 30 watt solid state away with ease.

The one you said looks nice but i can't identify it ... the hardware it uses is as important as the looks..

Where sis you buy it from ?

BTW you guys know any decent bass players ?

Hi Guys

I'm looking at buying a guitar, most likely a fender strat/fat strat, but I don't know where to go up here in Joburg (randburg). Where do you guys go for your equipment and advice?

Thanks

what ever you do.. NEVER BUY A MARSHAL MG AMP!!!!!!! gah, I *HATE* their sound, rather save up and buy a nice amp.

Sounds like your string action is too high, even crap guitars, if set up right, can play good - but nothing beats a well made guitar. I have an american made fat-strat and a gibson les paul and theyre awesome :D
8O How long have you been playing guitar?...

If you must know, people raise their action to get a better sound out of their guitar, in sacrifice of playability. But agreed. Cubes are simple but amazing and Marshall FTL!
What I was refering to is he said the strings were cutting his fingers, a sure sign that a) he doesnt play much and hasnt got callouses and or b) his action is really really high, like un-neccercerially high.

Guys i donno if this is against the rules, but here is a link to a really great guitar forum...( no MODS its not mine ! ) The guys are really helpfull and experienced

http://guitar.zentao.com/forum/

Ive been a member for awhile and through them i've even learned how to build my own valve amp ...

Any question is fair game , just read the rules.
