A company called Intellistor. Don't know exactly where they are but they are the only agents for Plextor in SA-=WiK1d=- wrote: From where if I may ask
I forgot to take a pic of the swith. But it doesn't look exactly like the ones you got. I do have two of those aswell but I used them in my previous mod.
Just a small update. But managed to finish the MoBo tray completely. Fitted the buttons and also made a part for someone else
The part I made for a friend
The buttons fitted in my box
These cost me R75 each
This is what the finished MoBo tray looks like.
I still need to cut the hole for the DVD wr, anodize the whole case, fit the UV perspex and do all the electricals in the box. I have until the end of next month to finish it.

I wish I could do computer graphics like that!!! The buttons are very real though.
It was too cold to work on the box this weekend, so I spend time "thinking" about and "researching" for some good ideas while reading a novel and lying in bed with some nice hot chocolate provided by my beautiful wife...
I did some updates, they might seem small but it was a mission trying to do everything. So I finished the DVD drive's cutout's, fixed the mounting plate to the chassis and measured the front USB cutouts. I should be finished working on the metal next week. Then I'll take the alu for anodizing.
Bad news is the picture updates are on my phone and I forgot to put it on my flash drive. So I'll update as soon as I get a BT connection.

Going to have only the tray come out. And I will make a cover for the front of the tray with two colours of perspex. I got an idea for the tray from a guy called Tribaloverkill (<-respect!!!) on the gruntville forum's. (http://www.gruntville.com/phpBB2/viewto ... sc&start=0)
I'll finish the cuttings this weekend

Its been uphill since I started. My wife goes: "Jy weet nè! Jy het al oor die R2000 op die do****se kas spandeer! Jy koop nie weer iets nie!"viceroy wrote:How much do you reckon the whole project will cost you in the end?
Oh well... Next week I'll be anodizing it .
Aluminium R300
Perspex R240 - And I need to get some more roughly about +-R500 worth
Fans with dust covers R315
Buttons R225
Hinges and latches R75
Old PC box R100
Anodizing +-R400
In total I think it comes to about R2200 just for the stuff I used. Then I had to get some new tools and accesories for the tools. That alone was about R1500.
Modding is cool...
I hope you guys enjoy this update. I have finished the cutting and filing and filing and filing and...
Anyway, I removed the protective sticker from the alu for you peoples to see. I can't decide if I should anodize it or not, SOOOO I need some expert advise here...
Should I Anodize this case black or leave it as is?
My side panels will be a see through light black colour and I will have green UV sleeving over the cables. Just to help decide the whole thing.

Just the whole thing
