Speculations become official
By Stuart Gorman: Wednesday 01 February 2006, 19:59
IN A press release today, Ubisoft and Capcom announced three games to be ported to the PC.
Ubisoft's new charges include Resident Evil 4, Onimusha 3 and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition. The news regarding RE4 comes as only minor surprise considering this article about RE4's PC availability as of the 31st of March.
Their distribution will hit North America and Europe starting with Onimusha 3 sometime in February of this year. They didn't say whether Devil May Cry 3 is being released before or after Resident Evil 4, but with the overall suddenness of the announcement, it could well be.
RE4 is a heavily-lauded survival horror game, rife with zombies. Onimusha 3 features a medieval Japanese setting for its action-packed adventure. And Devil May Cry 3 carries on the creepiness with a gothic atmosphere and thrilling combat.
Toshihiro Tokumaru, executive officer at Capcom stated, “We look forward to working together for continued growth for both companies.'' Which might be hinting at further distribution deals. Score another thousand points for PC gamers. µ
