Just FYI, I managed to get my RAMmmup to 420 earlier, but was running it @ 420 from 400. Is there any difference between the two?
Below are my CPU-Z screen shots of the config...

Thanks again for all the advice
No, my mobo does'nt have 1066fsb support...Its an MSI running an Intel 915G chipset. When I dropped my RAM to DDR333, the CL changed to 2.5.Basipooh wrote:Question, does ur mobo have 1066fsb support coz if it does u have tons of oc headroom. and wat CL are u at.
Ok, initialy, I ran the CPU at DDR400 (stock)....now, since I pumped the FSB to 240.....I dropped the RAM too DDR333 so its no running at 401Mhz with the 240 FSB. Get it?Basipooh wrote:do u mean the difference from 400 to 420 as opposed to 333 to 400. C my post above i asked a couple of Q's about ur mobo.
its an intel board... a D915GAG to be exact, cant download the bios update as i am not allowed to d/l from ftp sites... will d/l from my boss's machine however...Furion wrote:what mobo are you running? some motherboards are created in partnership with the retailer of the pc. eg. i have a fujistu siemens pc. the motherboard is an asus p4ge. however it was designed in partnership with fujistu so it has fsc branding and this means that it cannot be overclocked as fujitsu deliberately greyed out the fsb settings. apparantly to prevent overclocking and warranty problems
