What is the most stupid mistake you've done?
while trying to remove a cpu heatsink the screwdriver slipped and i hit one of the capacitors on the mb, breaking off one of it's legs, i gently nudged it back in to place hoping all would be well, but somehow manged to fry to board!
What does man fear most? That no one will understand him, or that someone truly might?

Also once dropped a screw into a ram slot, couldn't figure out why it wouldn't boot, shorted and killed the mobo.
These two entries are really deserving of the title of biggest blunder! lol - Good ones...

I think I posted this mistake before, but it deserves an encore.
My first experience with Active Directory 2003:
Reset a password for a user. Sweet!
What I didnt realise is that I had selected the entire group of users before resetting. In AD'03 you can change the password of all users on the domain to the same thing in one go. Found that out the hard way.
Went back in, set all passwords to change at first logon and started the long proccess of informing almost 200 users that their passwords had been changed.
Also been busted sleeping at work. They took pictures.....
[edit] Just realised how amazing it is that I'm still employed!

i spent about two hours one night exploring active proccess's and services like hardware doctor trying to figure out what was making my computer beep every 5 minutes or so, i was sure it was a voltage problem some or other service was detecting, eventually my girl friend asked when i was going to charge my phone cause the beeping was annoying her.
