I have been connecting to the net at 49-50bps for years now. But these last two weeks i have been connecting at 20-29bps.
<BR>I have replaced the telephone cable and installed newer drivers but i still connect at a low bps rate.

LOW internet connection
The speed that you are talking about is the speed that you modem and PC are connected at and not the speed that your modem and ISP are connected at. So, to try and fix this try reinstalling the com port that your modem is connected to (and check for conflicts) and maybe reinstall the modem drivers.

I removed my modem software and the drivers and installed the newer drivers.
<BR>The thing is the has started all of a sudden.
