Even though I have a GB of DDR400 RAM, and a 3200+ Newcastle Athlon64, my score seems a bit high.
I tried a little overclocking, and it appears that my CPU doesn't like to go much more than 250-300 MHz above stock speed. That's one thing I miss about my P4 2.8C, being able to OC by 400+ MHz without a sweat.
I tried my Athlon64 at 340 MHz above stock, with the VCore upped to 1.725 to support the extra MHz, but low and behold, my CPU then idles at 49 (whereas normal temp is 38 or so). Super PI doesn't even run (I just end up with all sorts of strange errors.)
Oh well, I suppose a 350+ Mhz OC on an Athlon64 Newcastle would be like a 600-700 MHz OC on a P4 (ie. without some sort of serious cooling, your chip tends to get a bit unhappy with life...)
If only Sybaritic would get stock of Thermalright XP-90's!
surprising because I C Mozz got a 500Mhz OC! But he has the Silent Tower cooler though.
