HI All,
I am getting an 8ta 10GB 3G promo next weekend.The 3G modem is NOT included (Huawei E367)
but runs at 21mb/ps. Link: http://8ta.co.za/plans/postpaid-data/i5promo/
However I already own a Vodafone 3g card (K3565-Z) which ONLY runs at 3,5mb/s.
I was wondering, is there any way to increase my current card’s speeds? In-case “Yes”, could anyone give me a “how to” guide?
And what kind of speeds can one expect thereafter? (Obviously location and load plays a huge role, but humour me)
If anyone knows of a better 3G deal, please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Fred

Well, in my limited knowledge, you're looking at a hardware limitation. I don't think it's possible.

Can't you get a 7mbps for like R300 anyway? 21mbps will be more expensive, but I think you should be able to get away with less than R1000.

Agreed.
On another note, where are you located? By all accounts, if you're outside of Cape Town, you should probably be pretty wary of 8ta.

Ratso, kinda off subject, but...
MTN have a 2GB contract going for R150/month. Which is less than half Vodascum's offering.
