Re: Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning and ME3
Ok let's roll with a what I played so far. The game isnt much different from the demo. Some of the bugs has managed to sneak past the polish phase like the cutscene where you walk streight into an NPC. I don't buy the working as intended bit.
A controller is definitely the best way to play the game. Even so you will find the game wants to use a keyboard for more buttons than a controller would allow for.
Graphicly the game looks lovely but no where near the detail mashed into skyrim. The camera is annoying with fixed aspects that just wont let go of the ground when you need it to focus on you. You can't zoom out and games like Jedi Knight and Heretic 2 did a better job with the 3rd person view. For some odd reason console games wants your character to fill 1/2 the screen.
Is the game good or bad? That is hard to say at this time. I think the game might be benefited more from being a straight up action game instead of an RPG but then again I am just longing for the days of Heretic 2.

@Star did you manage to get the key for the armor? I played the demo on Steam but cannot find the damned key for the armor...

Its not a key. You get the items from a chest in the first village.

Ah then the website needs a rewrite, it mentions a key...
Oh well I was happily playing it along until I had to come to work. Going for a Rogue/Mage type build, love duel-wielding weapons...

Re: Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning and ME3
Basicly pc gamers unlocks the following:
Shepard armor from playing the demo
Vengance helm from playing the demo
Fayblades from finishing the demo
then 3 armor sets from pre-order code (btgames should have sent it to you if you ordered from them).
All the armors/weapons are collected from a special chest in the first town. You will get a quest for it after you talked to the old fart that couldnt tell you your fate.

Re: Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning and ME3
The code I got from BTGames was a destiny fate code which was redeemed and downloaded. I had just entered the first town before I had to go to work so tomorrow morning I will try to find this chest to get my armors .

Yeah just look for the circle on your minimap and it will lead you straight to it. I was also worried about how and where I would get my items.

Re: Kingdom of Amalur Reckoning and ME3
Give it a try. The demo is 2.1GB big. It has single player and multi player. Interesting though is there are 3 modes to choose from. Action, RPG and Story. Not sure the difference between each but I hit that RPG button so hard my mouse nearly broke.
Would love to comment on the single player but as it were I got dragged into the multiplayer by friends. The multiplayer will be unlocked for everyone tomorrow but for those with BattleField 3 the MP is already unlocked. The MP for demo is a hoard mode type of game. I think they might have more modes in the full game. But I'd say its worth checking out the demo if you have uncapped that is.

i wish the camera could be manually controlled with regards to its zoom level, feels a bit too close during some heated fights.
when in doubt, paddle out...
