Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
The latency was low as in 300-400ms. Thats half of what wow had on a good day. I don't think they should do a local release though. WoW players that are looking to give up wow are looking for GW2 because of its free to play nature.
Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
We have created an empire sister guild on the hidden server for those who prefer to play sith. Called Imperial Knights. Whisper at Ulvenxai, Arrogance, Ritsuka,Almanti or Daxon for an invite.

Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
I have a bit of a crunch time in regards to work and studies but once I am free of it and if that time period does not clash with the Diablo III release then I will have a stab at it

Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
So where can I order my copy of SWTOR? Can I use origin store or does it have a problem?
Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
Can't use origin, it will tell you its not available in your region. You can buy a key from www.mmogamerssa.co.za,www.g2play.net, www.offgamers.com,ect
Amazom.com and Amazon.co.uk will also ship to SA.
Once you have your key you then register at the official site, enter key, enter billing info(SA CC's and paypal work without issue),enter your security questions and you can then download. Bewarned client is 20 gigs.

Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
I still have the files from the beta. I think its the same game files so not too worried. g2play doesn't have and mmogamerssa.co.za doesnt exist.

The beta client is fine, will just patch to the latest version once you are able to login.

Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
I have to say I am actually impressed by mmogamersa... When I placed the order they said that I will have to wait about 12 hours after electronic payment can be confirmed for the key. This morning I get a mail from them saying sorry that it took so long and since it did take so long they are awarding me with loyalty points or some such....
BTW.. for those interested I have noticed that you can buy directly from http://www.swtor.com if you have a mastercard... no credit card required.
Only problem now is to choose a class to play with...

Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
After this weekend I am not buying into mmo/lat dependant games with subscriptions. I'll still buy GW2. So many other games I can play. SW will have to sit at the back with WoW for the time being.

Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
Getting 1.4k ms on local servers in black ops. My speedtest to capetown is 770ms.
The lag when it works isnt bad. I played beta with 250ms. And PvP server is always the way to go when there is 2 factions. Keeps you on your toes. PvE for servers where PvP is a free for all brawl.

Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
Maybe I should just buy it and accept that it will be a 30 day game for now.

Re: SWTOR SA Guilds
Started playing last wednesday and I am already on lvl21 so a 30 day game will give yuo a decent idea SB... And no I am not rushing it. I have been a good boy and didn't skip any dialogue.... wait you can't skip it... it is just too awesome to skip.
What I want is a way to check what my dps is actually like so that I can check my choices around the skill trees and gear. But alas no UI mods yet.
