Only for dragon age 2. Sadly that means that there was just a driver issue with the game and not that the card hasnt reached its limit yet. The metro benchmark remained mostly the same with a slight improvement here and there. Minimun is up by 3 fps, max by 8fps, ave unchanged.Mystical_Titan wrote:Hey StarBound, did you see the massive performanace boost the 560s got with the new 270 drivers?

Not really. Crysis 2 patched itself to acceptable levels.

No, definitely the drivers. Got major performance boost on the new drivers with the same version of Crysis 2.

Check out the 560 Ti and 580 cards that EVGA are releasing. Look pretty good!

I don't know hey? they looks a lil cluttered with those fan guard things... i much prefer the msi, asus and gigabyte versions... but i love EVGA as a brand....Mystical_Titan wrote:Check out the 560 Ti and 580 cards that EVGA are releasing. Look pretty good!

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
I'll always go for Asus if I can, but they look pretty wicked. EVGA makes solid stuff and they usually give their cards nice out-the-box OCs.
Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
thats for sure... EVGA as a brand are awesome.... iv never been a fan of out the box oc's i prefer to do it myself hey.... i just buy a card that has good temps and can overvolt..... then do my own thing... dont wana end up with a gigabyte 560ti SOC thats not stable at 1ghz core and have to run it underclocked.....

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
Well, I'd rather buy something that's already OCed. My msi GTX 560 cards don't want to OC much higher than they already are, even though Guru 3D OCed theirs much higher in the review. Would have liked to get two of the Gigabyte 560 SoC cards, but the only thing I have against Gigabyte is their blue PCBs! Irritates the crap out of me...

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
For the price of the SoC you could as well go for the 570gtx. Overclocked only works until it hits the price level of the next card with lower temps, power consumption and higher frame rate.

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
At the speed of the SoC, it can't be far off the 570 if not on par.
Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
@ Starbound i dont know if u aware that Take Two is selling the SOC for R2700.... which is rougly a grand less than your cheapest 570....StarBound wrote:For the price of the SoC you could as well go for the 570gtx. @ M_T whats the highest clocks uv reached on ur msi cards bro? your twin Frozr is at 880mhz core stock hey?

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
Yeah. They seem solid on 900 MHz, but I couldn't get through one benchmark of Unigine on 930 MHz. Previously, when I tried 950 MHz with a little extra voltage, FurMark would keep hanging due to the graphics driver crashing. So I've pretty much given up.
Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
ill see what i can get my cards clocks too and post the clocks here

the inacurate overclocks...ie 200 base clock with a 19 multi gives me 3808mhz speed instead of jus 3800mhz...seems to happen on all rog boardsMystical_Titan wrote:PLL?Smilodon111 wrote:+1 pll issue aside, RoG Dominates.Mystical_Titan wrote:My fav hardware for gaming is Asus because of their RoG brand.

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
Is there a new 560 GTX being released on 17 May or are they just really late with the marketing?

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
There is a new 560 being released, it's basically a watered-down version of the Ti, which is the most powerful of the two.
Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
What's the point then seriously? That's what the 550 ti is there for....

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
It probably falls between the 550 Ti and the 560 Ti, though I agree that it seems a bit pointless.
Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
Ya not sure y they did that.... U can get 560ti's for R2500 and 550 ti's for R1700, so I wonder what price bracket a slower 560 will fall in? R2000? It would make more sense to bring out a gtx 550 that's slower than a 550ti and appeals to the lower market... But then again y not call it a 540 ti? Not sure where nvidia is going with their model names...

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
Not sure what to think about this release.... i saw reviews on guru3d and when overclocked is like 1 frame away from being on par with a gtx 560 Ti....

Re: ATI... erm, AMD vs nVidia!
So unless they make it much cheaper than a Ti, it really serves no purpose.
