What motherboard you got? That can also make a big difference. Also what timings is your RAM running at?

Your 3d Mark 01 score lies more with your CPU strength, and 03 score is more your graphics cards power.

To increase your scores make sure you have AA and AS off, have everything set to performance or high performance or whatever it's called in your driver setting. This shouldn't make a huge difference though.

The best way to increase your scores would be to overclock your CPU and Graphics card.

With my Geforce Ti 4600 I get aobut 14000 in 01, whch I find amazing since this card is a few years old already.

Seems about right IMHO. You can improve it by a) buying a new graphics card, b) overlcocking your current one.

What MSI board? What's the model number? :)

MSI usually make vey good boards, not good for overclocking usually though.

RAM timings on default should be ok. But you can usually get quite a few 3dmarks by lowering your timings, which is a bit dangerous unless you know what you're doing.

Your scores are unforutanelty correct, because you have a great system all you need to do is improve on the GPU. I would recommend a GeForce 5900, i personally dont like ATI. I have had them in the past and they were not that bad, but I enjoy nVidia Cards more

lol, my friend/his dad is a huge idiot! They have a P4 3.Ghz nice LCD and 512RAM. But guess what they have a FX5200!!!!!!! And they were so happy and thought it was top of the range until I very kindly told them that the FX5200 is CRAP! They did not believe me until I showed them some benchmark from tomshardware and then they shut up. I just feel that it is so dumb when peopl have like a 3Ghz CPU but like 64mb RAM or a junk GPU. Then they r just WAISTING their money. LOL! makes me all quizy when none PC literate people think that they can tell u that their FX5200 is top of the range. Phfft!

When a non PC literate person buys a computer that scares me... I know I have seen some people buy harware and mess the entire thing up.

how about paying over 5 000 for the following (this was two moths ago)

Intel Celeron 1Ghz Tualatin
Asus Motherboard
128MB PC-133
Onboard Sound+Graphics (SIS 630/730)

and someone I know bought a laptop for R12 000 (a week ago) and I knwo laptop arent designed for games, but I ran 3DMARK03 on it anyway it scored 128 3DMARKS... yes that is correct

PLEASE PEOPLE IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING RATHER GET ANOTHER HOBBY CAUSE THERE IS NOTHING MORE SAD THAN DOING ANY OF THE MENTIONED ABOVE. .. At best come to the forum for help if you need it

Yup, thats whay I mean things like that

INCASE YOU ARE DOING THIS FOR THE BENIFIT OF SOMEONE (FAMILY etc) THEN YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE BUYING AND CONSULT WITH SOMEONE FISRT... THAT IS LIKE A RULE

ALSO CHECK BENCHMARKS ON THE PRODUCT YOU WANT BEFORE GETTING IT
