Can you see the data on the other machine, can you browse through it or can you not access the share? you obviously pinged and the packets were sent and received alright?

That's really odd bro. Copying large files? Did you try copy an image or something small

So I assume you can't lan? Can the other machine copy stuff from your share?

I'm stumped! The fact that you can browse through folders over the network, you can lan fine. But you can't copy anything is weird. And I doubt any group policies were configured, and knowing you,you take down the firewall?

Uh... Driver issue? Boot up is a safe mode with networking and try then, perhaps there's a IRQ clash?? I'm just shooting in the dark here...

Are you using the microsoft drivers for the network card or the manufacturers drivers?

Update to the manufacturers drivers and see if that helps?

Go ahead and copy a file from over the network. The computer will crash, reset and boot back into windows. Go to run and type in event viewer. Look under error events and report back with what you find.

Also go to run and type in msinfo32.exe. Expand Hardware Resources, click on IRQs, and find your ethernet card. Look under status and see if it says OK.

I'm assuming you have an onboard lan and not a peripheral card?
