Hello I had poor preformance in my games till I entered taskmanager just to see that explorer.exe is using 40-60% of my cpu.When I end explorer and strat it over the problem is gone for a few minutes and then it starts using 40-60% of my cpu.Any help on fixing this

Yeah, that sounds like some malicious action. What AV software are you running?

Tried a Windows repair? Maybe your explorer.exe got hijacked without Kaspersky picking it up.

right click explore.exe and go to the directory it in. scan it and see what it does? check you process list for suspicious processes and do the same. if you find one called sys.exe you have a recycler virus/worm

You could also try and copy an original Explorer.exe over the current one using a Linux Live CD or try to use the Windows Repair Console.
Just watch the version you copy make sure the same SP is applied.

Thanx.When I get home today I will see if the problem can be fixed by your suggestions.I dont have an active internet connection at home I use my N73 as a modem so Kapersky hasnt been updated since I bought it.I just downloaded windows defender's latest definition at work.I know some people says that windows defender is crap but it is worth a try don't you think
