Courses for web development

Post by IcePick88 »

I am looking at getting into web design and development. To do some freelance work now and then for extra $$$.

I've looked at courses on offer by Intec, Boston ect, but which one would be best?
I've got no form of web dev experience. I browsed some html tutorials and I managed to make a VERY simple example with just headings and some text. I would like to delve deeper to be able to make some cool sites.

Would a intro to web design course be a good start?

Thanks!

i managed to make a pretty good website after about a months worth of self learning.

I use MS web developer express (free) and probably the best of all the free apps.
Also bought a book for dummies.
Also took some websites apart by saving the website and opening up the pages using the above SW. learnt what each bit does and hey presto.

I am now learning the JAVA scripting and Flash bits.

Check it out : http://www.lenzaluworx.co.za

Not bad for a months learning.
