Games with awesome soundtracks

Post by Ron2K »

Don't know about the rest of you, but to me, a good soundtrack to a game can add to the experience, while a bad one will wreck it. So, here's my list of favourites (in no particular order):
  • Oblivion. You get a real sense of atmosphere with this one's soundtrack - anyone who's played the game will know what I'm talking about.
  • Left 4 Dead. The AI Director manages to get just the right amount of creepy at the right time, right.
  • Any Star Wars game that has the main Star Wars theme in it. To me, it just never gets old.
So, which ones do you guys like? (And by the way, games where you choose your own soundtrack, such as Audiosurf or Guitar Hero, don't count!)
Kia kaha, Kia māia, Kia manawanui.

No, I fired up Oblivion last night - the soundtrack there inspired me to create the thread.

I can still hear some of the songs from Hero's Quest 1 (renamed to Quest for Glory later) in my head on quiet evenings.

Flatout had a awesome sound track.

NFS usually has a decent sound track and so do most EA sport games like Fifa 03 :)

Also love Tony Hawks 2 and 4, great times on my PS :)
