"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

That round button, top right. I think.
Edit: I mean top left

Re: M$ 2007
Ja, click the round MS Logo at the top left, then select "Word Options" at the bottom of the resultant box, and then "Save" and you can change the default location.

You can download a classic toolbars plugin, but it's not free. Besides, give yourself a few weeks and you'll find that you much prefer the new way of doing things.jee wrote:*SIGH* why can they not leave things alone if it works?

It's a third party plugin.jee wrote:Hang on - Stuart, why is the classic tool bar extra cost? If i have a license, why can i not use it?
To be fair, I looked for it within a few weeks of O2K7 being released, so there may be a free alternative out there by now.

jee, +1 on OO - especially since I'm paying for my own software these days!
If you press Alt-O, doesn't the options dialogue open up and F1 for help???

2007 is stupid for somethings. This a great example. Another is importing from a scanner.
Soon Google will know everything...including how to divide by zero

Re: M$ 2007
I got use to it fairly early on but for someone that just switched over its a living hell. Something you have to come to terms with is when Microsoft says "new and improved" they mean different and confusing.
Also a BIG PROBLEM to look out for is saving the file as an 2007 file. Your gonna be cursing and swearing the day when you try to open a file that office 2003 cant open. It has happened to me 3 times. So make sure you save stuff as 2000-2003 compatible

I think you should have just skipped 2007 all together Jee, 2010 is about to be released which means another learning curve on the horizon...

Re: M$ 2007
You could just download the converter pack for 2003 to handle 2007 files or change the default save format in 2007 to .doc or you can be a knobStarBound wrote:I got use to it fairly early on but for someone that just switched over its a living hell. its a free download from the ms site and i never had problems once it was installed. Excel, powerpoint and word 2007 now open fine on my office 2003 .
(My comment about repairing office seems to have deleted itself. )

Re: M$ 2007
jee - I am coming up this weekend. I do ribbon training which is the conversion from 2003 to 2007. I will be happy to come and show you some nifty tricks to get what you want out of the program. 2007 is way superior to 2003 and when shown how - it is so much easier. If you want to make life easier so long, click on the arrow next to the Quick Access toolbar (next to the big office button) and have it show below the ribbon bar. Now you can right click on any items on the ribbons that you want on your toolbar, and select Add to Quick Access toolbar. This way you can put all the things you need there until you have learnt their new locations.
I do this training a lot - takes 90 mins for all three packages. Happy to come and help you.
