Afternoon all
I have a home network with 4 PCs that my family uses. Recently my 12 year old bro has been chowing down my parent's cap resulting in them getting capped 2 months in a row. I was wondering if there is a way to get his PC to connect to the net through my server, and with that have some sort of daily cap put in place? Once he reaches the limit it should cut him off completely but still give him access to the printers for projcts and stuff. Being able to make sure that he is not doing anything indecent is also a plus as I keep getting asked to put parental control software on his pc.
Is there specialised software for this sort of thing?
Open to any suggestions. His PC is running Windows 7 and my server is Server 2003 R2

Re: Limiting bandwidth per day to specific PC
I don't want to limit the speed at which he can surf, i want to limit the amount of cap he can burn through in a day. O, and I forgot to mention he mustn't be able to undo it, hence why I thought of running it through the server. He won't know how to change his gateway. He has however figured out what LanSchool is and disabled that. Crafty bugger :/
